Knowing how powerful neuroscience can be in reshaping lives, psychiatrist Dr. Gustavo Alva had a clear vision when founding Abstract to Clarity.
He wanted clients to experience something more than symptom management, and to avoid the discouraging idea that they must simply accept their struggles as permanent.
That’s why he built a model centered on advanced, non-invasive therapies, including qEEG-based neurofeedback and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), all designed to address the root causes of brain-based struggles and guide clients toward lasting change.
QEEG neurofeedback: Training the brain toward balance
At Abstract2Clarity, care often begins with a qEEG brain map powered by Myndlift. This detailed assessment reveals where brainwave activity may be out of balance and show patterns linked to struggles like anxiety, ADHD, or trauma.

From there, Dr. Alva and his team design a personalized neurofeedback protocol within the Myndlift dashboard. Patients then train at home or in the clinic, receiving real-time feedback that rewards healthier brainwave activity.
Over time, the brain learns to adopt these new rhythms more naturally, supporting focus, calm, and resilience.
This combination of precise brain mapping and accessible at-home training makes progress both measurable and sustainable, giving clients tools they can carry into everyday life.
“At Abstract2Clarity, we help turn overwhelm into empowerment, bringing substance to faith and hope,” says Dr. Alva.

Gently stimulating change with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)
For clients whose symptoms are linked to underactive areas of the brain, Abstract2Clarity uses transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).
TMS involves placing a magnetic coil against the scalp, which delivers pulses of magnetic energy to targeted regions of the brain.
These pulses stimulate neural pathways connected to mood and cognitive function. Sessions are non-invasive, painless, and require no downtime.
According to Dr. Alva, TMS has shown strong potential in his practice for addressing symptoms linked to depression, anxiety, and cognitive recovery, “offering clients another path forward when progress has stalled or traditional methods haven’t provided enough relief.”
From overwhelm to empowerment
At Abstract2Clarity, clients are not passive recipients of care.
Every plan begins with a detailed assessment, from qEEG brain mapping to clinical consultation, and evolves in collaboration with the client.
Whether training at home with Myndlift or receiving TMS in the clinic, each step is shaped by individual goals and progress. The result is a model of care that’s as adaptive as the brain itself.
